Simple: the player executes the command /usage and is then fed back with a reply.
Session Usage: 0 hours 0 minutes
Total Usage: 2863 hours 28 minutes
First played: 7-14-2001 5:14:29
The only piece of data the server stores about every unique player is when the first time they connected to the server was (for total usage), and when they previously connected and disconnected (for session usage).
Additionally, the server can keep track of how many times a player has died and display that also.

NOTE: A better version of this idea has been implemented into Minecraft. You can have beds, and the last one you slept in is the one you will spawn around.
This is a server modification. Every player would be equipped or have at most one personal storage chest around which they spawn when placed. The purpose of this is to (1) allow players to freely determine their spawn location based on the placement of a physical item that is uniquely associated with them and (2) therefore be able to move.
Scenario 1: you may want to visit an old friend off miles away for a holiday, but if you got killed any time within your trip or stay there, you would start all the way back where every player spawns by default, and that would absolutely suck (not to mention it isn’t quite realistic).
Scenario 2: And what if you want to move? Not very possible if you want to move a very long distance away from everyone else, as you may have trouble finding your way back.

This would be a server modification. What it would allow a server operator to do is to set a radius from the origin. Within this circle, each player is assigned a unique spawn location (permanent for said player); the location determined is random within this area. The purpose of this plugin idea is to (1) spread players out across the land, (2) force players to fend and build up themselves, (3) encourage exploration, (4) encourage finding each other and (5) creating pathways to each others locations.
